Terms and Conditons
Conditions of Booking
- Pitches are only available when pre-booked with a written or e-mail confirmation.
- We reserve the right to alter pitch and tipi allocations if required.
- The balance for all booked nights is to be paid on arrival.
- For packages including a ferry crossing, a 20% deposit is required on booking and the balance is payable 4 weeks prior to the start of your stay.
- Tipis will only be reserved if a deposit has been paid and confirmation given.
- A charge of £10 will be made for cheques represented by the bank.
- All bookings are accepted at the site owner’s discretion and we reserve the right to refuse or terminate the stay of any person or persons creating a nuisance to others.
- Anyone involved in any activity that is likely to cause damage to other people’s property or injury to people or animals will be removed from the site immediately.
Refunds and Alterations
- In the event of a family bereavement, accident, serious family illness, hospitalisation or redundancy and providing we receive written confirmation of cancellation of the entire party, supported by the relevant documentation, before the commencement of the holiday, we will refund all monies.
- Cancellations will incur an administration charge of up to £10.
- In the event of non-arrival on the specified date we reserve the right to re-let the pitch the following day.
- Once the booking has commenced no refunds will be given if you leave early.
- Alterations to bookings may incur an administration charge of £10.
Arrivals
- Pitches and Tipis are ready from 12:00 noon, and should be clear by 11:00 am on your day of departure.
- Please let us know in advance if you intend to arrive after 10:00 pm.
- Please report to reception at Upton House upon arrival.
Vehicles
- Speed limit on the site is 10 mph - please comply at all times.
- Take special care when driving on the fields, especially near other peoples tents.
- If your vehicle becomes stuck, please ask at reception for assistance.
- Vehicles are allowed on site for the purposes of coming to the site, leaving the site and travel around the Isle of Wight. Vehicles may not be driven around site for amusement or instruction at any time.
- We reserve the right to ask people to move vehicles to tarmaced or gravelled areas if conditions require this.
- Bicycles are allowed to be ridden around the site providing due care and consideration is given to other campers.
Noise
- Campers are required to be reasonably quiet between 11.00 pm and 7:00 am.
- No loud music or musical instruments are allowed at any time.
- Generators are not permitted on site.
Children
- People under 18 must be accompanied by parents or responsible adults aged 18+ acting in loco parentis.
- Parents and guardians are responsible for the safety and good behaviour of their children at all times and Children must not be left unaccompanied on site.
Smoking
- As per UK Statute law, smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings on site.
- Do not throw lighted cigarettes into any bins.
Fires and Barbecues
- Barbecues and controlled campfires are allowed on site, but they must be kept off the ground and burned in a safe and controlled manner at all times.
- Barbecues and campfires must be overseen by a competent adult at all times.
Visitors
- At the discretion of the site owners, guests may bring day visitors into the park (10:00 am – 6:00 pm) but they must obtain permission at reception before doing this.
Dogs and Pets
- Dogs and pets are accepted by prior arrangement only (you must have the pet listed on your booking confirmation).
- Dogs are not permitted in the tipis.
- Dogs are to be kept under control at all times when they are on site (this will normally mean the dog needs to be kept on a lead).
- Dog fouling is not permitted around the site. If an accident happens it must be
cleaned up immediately.
- Dogs must not be left unattended on the site or become a nuisance to others.
General
- Force-Majeure: Roebeck Camping shall not be held liable for non-performance of any of its obligations under a booking agreement if such this occurs because of events beyond their control such as flooding, industrial disputes, fire, riots, adverse weather conditions, civil dispute, epidemics, health risks or such similar events.
- Roebeck Camping will not be held responsible to any persons listed on the reservations form for any loss or damage to property or personal injury caused by third parties.
